Boys Varsity Wrestling, Coed Varsity Wrestling · The Falcon Four are Statebound

Van Horn’s Wrestling team finished their season with their finest output of state qualifiers in recent team history.  Four wrestlers punched their tickets to Columbia, MO with excellent performances.  Freshman, Ethan Moses, defeated Grain Valley to advance to state in the 106 lb division.  Senior, Preston Murphy, defeated his opponent from Raytown South from the 132 lb division to qualify for his first trip to the State tournament.  The Maluia brothers, Kenny (Sr. 170) and Aaron (Soph., 220), defeated their opponents to qualify for state.  The Falcon grapplers finished their season with an impressive 18-7 record in duals.  Now their focus turns to the individuals who will compete at Mizzou Arena, starting this Thursday, February 15th.  The first matches will begin at 5:00pm.  Good luck to Coach McGee, his staff, and wrestlers.  For more State wrestling information, click here:
